"Haunted by dark visions, and estranged from his 'brother' Ken, Ryu is on his musha shugyō. Looking for a reconciliation, Ken has used the resources of the Master Corporation to track Ryu down. At the core of their estrangement the question — who really is the Master of Ansatsuken? There is only one way to find out!"
After negative fan reaction to the movies Street Fighter (IMDB ↗) and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li (IMDB ↗), Street Fighter: Legacy was a collaboration between Joey Ansah and Capcom. This proof-of-concept explored whether a live-action version — true to the tenets of Street Fighter lore, and using actors who were trained martial artists — could revive Street Fighter's cinematic fortunes.
Launched on YouTube, Street Fighter: Legacy garnered over 18 million views and universal praise, and paved the way for Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist.
The film stars John Foo as Ryu and Christian Howard as Ken Masters, both trained martial artists.

The success of Legacy paved the way for a full series. Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist expanded the story into a 12-part epic — exploring the origin of the Ansatsuken and the dark birth of Akuma.
